School context and instructional capacity: A comparative study of professional learning communities in rural and urban schools in China

This study examines the teaching gap between rural and urban schools in China from the perspective of teacher professional learning communities (PLCs). Drawing on in-depth interviews with 36 primary school teachers, the study finds striking disparities between rural and urban schools in the working of Teaching and Research Groups (TRGs). These disparities in TRGs result in divergent patterns of instructional capacity building in rural and urban schools. The evidence shows that teaching and teachers are strongly shaped by the school organizational context. It suggests that strengthening school-wide PLCs is an important way of narrowing the rural-urban teaching and learning gaps.

Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is a test of mean differences, but the reference to variances in the name is often overlooked. Classroom activities are presented to illustrate how ANOVA works with emphasis on how to think critically about inferential reasoning.     

分组分层教学对大学生体质与心理健康促进的实证研究

目的:通过实证研究探讨分组分层教学对大学生体质和心理健康的影响.方法:研究对象为普通大学生,随机分为实验组和对照组,开展15周的实践教学,实验前后测试心理和体质健康指标.结果:1、与对照组相比,实验组体质健康指标:(1)身高、肺活量、1000m(男)、800m(女)和50m,五个测试指标差异显著(P＜0.05);(2)立定跳远、坐位体前屈和引体向上(男),三个测试指标差异非常显著(P＜0.01);2、与对照组相比,实验组心理健康指标:(1)躯体化、焦虑症、强迫症、偏执四个指标差异显著(P＜0.05);(2)人际关系敏感、敌对和抑郁症三个指标差异非常显著(P＜0.01);3、心理健康水平与体质健康有相关性.结论:分组分层教学能有效改善大学生的体质健康和心理健康状况,提升大学生体质健康和心理健康水平,心理健康水平与体质健康有相关性.     

运筹学教学与数学建模思想的融合

文中主要阐述了运筹学与数学建模的内在联系，说明了将运筹学教学与数学建模思想相结合的教学改革是非常必要的，是加强理论联系实际、提高学生学习兴趣、培养学生实际应用能力的一个有效途径。     

以工作室为依托适应艺术设计实践教学新常态

艺术设计应用性对设计学生实践能力提出要求。目前，为了应对艺术设计学生实践能力弱的困境，高校依托工作室进行教学，适时调整以适应专业特色需求。一方面，完善艺术设计工作室平台形式与条件，另一方面，从实践教学形式和内容方面寻找适合工作室教学实施要点，证明以工作室为依托的教学活动能有效提升设计水平和实践能力，并进一步延伸探讨艺术设计教学应具有的新常态。     

The debate over the National Curriculum for history in England and Wales, 198990: the role of the press

The construction of a history curriculum for England and for Wales under the terms of the 1988 Education Reform Act occasioned more debate in the media than any other subject in the National Curriculum. The links between the content of a history syllabus and perceptions within both nations of the part this plays in moulding national spirit made this inevitable. The disparity of view between the two groups charged with devising the syllabus and the government, particularly the Prime Minister, heightened the tension. This article explores the way in which consequent political, professional and public discussion was covered in the whole range of national newspapers. It is argued that the failure of the London press to comprehend the situation in Wales reduced significantly its appreciation of the processes involved in the making of the history curriculum.

针对计算机辅助教学软件开发周期长的特点,提出一种资源集成模式的教学系统开发思想。并以VB程序设计课程教学为例,介绍了系统各主要功能模块的作用及其实现的关键技术,还对这种系统的开发思想、作用和适用范围作了简要总结。
